The faulty devices have a flaw that allows them to burn and Sony has issued a recall that is optional blend for the models Bravi a KDL-40V3000, KDL-40VL130, the KDL-40W3000, KDL-40WL135, the KDL-40XBR4, and KDL -40XBR5.
All have size 40 inches and are made between 2007-2008. A total of eleven fires reported and there is a backlight that is the problem. It can cause the chassis melts and in some cases even get the TV to catch fire.
Sony advises all with one of the above models to make an appointment for a consultation on whether to send in their TV or not. If you notice that it begins to smell wonder if the television or heard strange noises blend should blend contact Sony immediately.
